Where do I start?

Iā€™m so glad you asked! The first step is to contact or schedule an appointment here.

I offer free 30 minute virtual consults, which allows us to get a feel for our potential therapeutic partnership. Having a therapist you feel comfortable and safe with is a crucial component of your therapy producing a positive experience (even when it can be difficult) and being successful.

What is my first session like?

You will receive paperwork prior to your first session that you will return to me before we meet for the first time. This will give me the opportunity to explore the information you share in the paperwork before we meet. At the beginning of your first session, we will re-visit the consents you signed and discuss goals and approaches that will be utilized throughout our time together. Please feel free to bring any questions, concerns, or curiosities to our first session.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I accept Aetna, Optum, United, Oxford, Oscar, and Kaiser NorCal. If I do not accept your insurance, I am able to provide you a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

How long do sessions typically last?

Individual and couples psychotherapy sessions are typically 55 minutes. For EMDR sessions or psychedelic preparation/integration, sessions will typically be 90 minutes.

How frequently do we meet?

We can decide this together based on your goals. Many clients prefer to meet more frequently in the beginning of our work together, and we can re-assess and adjust frequency of sessions as we progress.

Do you offer both virtual and in-person sessions?

At this time I only offer telehealth (virtual) sessions via HIPAA-compliant platform. I find this helps both clients and therapists with their work/life balance and reduces frequency of missed or cancelled sessions.
